Президент США Дональд Трамп найняв приватного адвоката, який буде захищати його в ході розслідування про зв'язки передвиборної кампанії з Росією 2016 році.

Про це повідомляє телеканал FOX Business з посиланням на два джерела.

Нью-йоркський адвокат Марк Касовіц є засновником фірми Kasowitz, Benson, Torres LLP. Вона вже представляла інтереси Трампа у багатьох справах, включаючи угоди з нерухомістю, розлучення і звинувачення в шахрайстві в Trump University.

Як повідомляє канал, адвокат відомий своїм жорстким стилем в судових розглядах і суперечками з журналістами, що звинувачують Трампа. Він був адвокатом американського президента в судовому розгляді, коли він подав до суду на журналістів, які повідомили з посиланням на джерела, що той не мільярдер. Однак ту справу Касовіц програв.

Крім того, Касовіц вимагав спростувань і виправлень від газети The New York Times, яка критично висвітлювала Трампа під час президентської кампанії 2016 року.

Касовіц відмовився коментувати цю інформацію. Прес-секретар Білого дому також не дав коментарів.
