The New York Times Magazine запросив десять акторок та акторів, які цього року зіграли у фільмах жахів, долучитися до створення тематичного номеру, повідомляє Media Sapiens
 
 
 

Як зазначає видання, фільми жахів домінували цього року в культурній комунікації. «Можливо, тому що реальність теж була досить страшною також», - пише The New York Times Magazine.  На думку редакції, 2017 рік був найкращим роком для фільмів жахів починаючи з 1970-х.

В тематичному номері команда журналу переглянула класичні образи з фільмів жахів, такі як вампір, канібал, живий манекен, божевільний клоун, мертва наречена тощо. Для втілення кожного з цих образів The New York Times Magazine запросив зірок, які до цього знялися в фільмі жахів й, за оцінками критиків, зробили значний внесок у цей жанр. Серед них - Ніколь Кідман, Енді Серкіс, Сірша Ронан, Джейк Джиленхол, Тіфані Хеддіш та інші. Окрім фотосесій, журнал створив ще й 10 короткоментражок.
