На референдумі в Азербайджані понад 90% виборців підтримали збільшення президентського терміну з п’яти до семи років.

Про це свідчать дані 70% опрацьованих бюлетенів, повідомляє Радіо Свобода.

Крім збільшення президентського терміну на референдум виносилися ще 29 поправок до Конституції, зокрема, надання президенту права розпускати парламент та оголошувати дочасні вибори, запровадження в Азербайджані посад кількох віце-президентів тощо.

Офіційні результати голосування планують оголосити у жовтні. Наразі, за даними ЦВК, явка на референдумі склала майже 70%.

Голосування на референдумі в в Азербайджані відбулось 26 вересня. 

Сам референдум викликав різку критику і з боку опозиції, громадських активістів і журналістів всередині країни. Вони закликали Захід до активних дій, щоб протистояти намірам Баку провести референдум.
