Ухвалений Верховною Радою Закон № 2831-3 про місцеві вибори авторства Вадима Денисенка з «Блоку Петра Порошенка» "завис" у профільному комітеті, котрий очолює Руслан Князевич. В комітеті з питань правової політики кілька днів розшифровували стенограму засідань парламенту. За даними джерала PRпорталу тепер юристи редагують текст і не поспішають його направляти на підписспікерові Володимири Гройсману, адже багато проголованих норм суперечать одна одній.
Найголовнішим нововведенням закону є запровадження пропорційної системи із відкритими списками для обрання обласних, міських та районних рад. Перемагає той кандидат, за кого виборці віддали найбільшу кількість голосів.
За законопроект у другому читанні та в цілому проголосували 257 депутатів за 226 мінімально необхідних. Від останнього голосування, яке відбулося 8 червня, депутати внесли до законопроекту 1548 поправок. Втім, врахували депутати лише дві поправки голови фракції «Блоку Петра Порошенка» Юрія Луценка щодо участі у виборах нових партій та представництва жінок.
