Чистая прибыль Facebook за третий квартал нынешнего года выросла на 79% по сравнению с аналогичным периодом 2016 г., говорится в отчетности компании. Показатель достиг $4,7 млрд, или $1,59 за акцию, год назад чистая прибыль компании составила примерно $2,6 млрд, или $0,9 за акцию.
Общая выручка за отчетный период выросла более чем на 47%, превысив $10,3 млрд. Число пользователей соцсети за год увеличилось на 16% и превысило показатель в 2,07 млрд человек.
Как отмечает издание The Wall Street Journal, эти результаты стали возможны в основном за счет размещения рекламы в соцсети. Выручка от объявлений за третий квартал выросла на 49% по сравнению с показателем прошлого года и добралась до отметки в $10,1 млрд. При этом 88% от этой суммы составили доходы от рекламы в мобильном приложении.
