Користувачі соціальних мереж бурхливо відреагували на блокування російських соціальних мереж "ВКонтакте" та "Одноклассники", а також сервісів компанії "Яндекс" та "Мейл.ру".

Своїм указом президент України Петро Порошенко затвердив рішення РНБО. Документ має набути чинності від моменту його публікації, тобто від 15 травня, але наразі всі вказані сайти та сервіси продовжують працювати.

Користувачі соціальних мереж почали писати дотепні коментарі з приводу блокування російських соцмереж, жартувати і радіти. Утім, деякі юзери нарікають на цензуру в державі.
