Юлія Тимошенко, яка обіцяла не витрачатися на рекламу, а гроші хотіла витратити на придбання БТРа для армії, за тиждень до виборів все таки з'явилася на біллбордах. Власне, БТР вона так і не купила. Зате почала масово рекламуватися по країні. "Лише одних бордів в операторів зовнішньої реклами замовила приблизно 2 тисячі", - повідомив експерт компанії Communication Group Костянтин Галушко. За йогго словами "рекламні носії орендовані на два тижні". Експерт підрахував, що загальна сума витрат, з урахуванням терміновості, склала в середньому 3,5 млн. гривень. "Якщо додати інші задіяні рекламні носії, то сума можна збільшитися щонайменше удвічі", - повідомив Костянтин Галушко. PR-портал підрахував, що за ці кошти можна було б купити шість БТРів.

Доречі, креативщики Юлії Тимошенко зробили стилістичну помилку. Після слоганів "Важкі часи", "Рішучі кроки" та "Сильний лідер" краще було поставити знак оклику.
