YouTube від червня цього року за допомогою технології машинного навчання, яка дозволяє відшукувати відео екстремістського характеру, видалив із сайту вже більше 150 тис. роликів.

Про це повідомила гендиректор відеохостингу Сьюзен Войчицки у своїй колонці в Daily Telegraph, передає ТСН

 Вона стурбована, що YouTube часто використовують для маніпуляцій і проявів агресії, які можуть завдати цілком реальної шкоди.

За півроку YouTube перевірив на вміст екстремізму майже два мільйони відео, пише ВВС. Завдяки новій технології співробітники компанії видалили вп’ятеро більше небезпечного контенту, ніж могли раніше.

2018-го року збільшать кількість персоналу, який відстежує поширення екстремістського контенту на відеохостингу, до 10 тис. людей і навіть більше. Компанія Google в прийдешньому році пообіцяла витратити 1,3 млн доларів на проекти, які допоможуть боротися з екстремізмом у Великій Британії.

Крім того, команда YouTube спільно з організаціями, які займаються захистом прав дітей, стежать за агресією стосовно неповнолітніх. Вони постійно контролюють, щоб вміст роликів не порушував закон.

Суворішими стануть вимоги відеохостингу й до коментарів. Сотні тисяч із них уже видалили, а акаунти, які їх поширювали, заморозили.

У вересні прем’єр-міністр Великої Британії Тереза Мей на засіданні Генеральної асамблеї ООН закликала технологічні компанії видаляти екстремістські матеріали протягом двох годин після надходження перших скарг.
