Про це заявив міністр юстиції Іспанії Рафаель Катала, повідомляє The Assoсiated Press.

Міністр пояснив, що лідер каталонського уряду Карлес Пучдемон спочатку має прояснити, чи заявив він про незалежність регіону у своїй промові 10 жовтня після референдуму.

"Уряд пропонує такий екстремальний варіант, як стаття 155, тому, що ми вважаємо, що Пучдемон зазнав серйозної невдачі у виконанні своїх зобов'язань. Все не виправити просто шляхом виборів", - сказав Катала.

Сенат Іспанії на цьому тижні вивчає запит уряду Іспанії про відновлення контролю над Каталонією, включаючи відсторонення Пучдемона та його міністрів.

Нагадаємо, центральний уряд у Мадриді попередив про готовність застосувати силу для відновлення порядку у Каталонії.

Каталонська влада раніше заявила, що не буде виконувати накази іспанського уряду, якщо Мадрид перейде на посилення контролю над регіоном.
