Таку пропозиції затвердила конференції президентів Європарламенту, пише Європейська правда

Про домовленість повідомив євродепутат під Партії зелених Свен Гігольд. Рішення відправлять на затвердження Ради ЄС.

"Збережіть дату". Наступні вибори до Європейського парламенту: 23-26 травня 2019 року. Щойно вирішили на конференції президентів. Пропозицію тепер відправлять з Європарламенту до Ради", - написав Гігольд

Як відомо, 29 березня 2019 року Велика Британія вийде зі складу ЄС, тож британці вже не братимуть участі у голосуванні. 73 британських місць у Європарламенті, скоріше за все, просто скоротять.

Однак є пропозиції не скорочувати кількість євродепутатів, яких зараз налічується 751, а розподілити британські місця пропорційно між рештою 27 країн. Остаточне рішення з цього питання очікується в червні.
