Коментуючи виступ доньки президента США у Берліні на жіночому саміті, він сказав з усмішкою, що йому "дуже подобається, як вона говорить у мікрофон".

Наступного дня він заперечив сексуальний підтекст своїх слів, сказавши, що зробив комплімент її голосу, який нагадує голос "діджея джазової радіостанції".

Через кілька годин після цього пан Вотерс несподівано повідомив, що йде у відпустку.
