Під час трансляції виникла технічна несправність, через яку зник звук. Кілька разів ефір переривався заставкою «Термінові новини» і потім поновлювалася. Потім на екрані з’явився ведучий Х'ю Едвардс, який мовчки просидів у студії кілька хвилин, поки несправність не вдалося усунути. Згодом у програмі він вибачився перед глядачами за збій у роботі.

Відео стало популярним у мережі, особливо серед британських користувачів. «Ось так я уявляю собі кінець світу», - написав один із них у Twitter. «Когось сьогодні звільнять», - прокоментував інцидент інший. «Х'ю Едвардс дві хвилини думав, що хорошого можна сказати про Терезу Мей і її команду, але в голову йому нічого не прийшло», - пожартував інший користувач. На платформі YouTube відеоролик з Х'ю Едвардсом набрав вже більше 130 тисяч переглядів.

Редактор програми Пол Ройалл (Paul Royall) згодом написав у Twitter, що ведучий дуже добре вийшов з незручної ситуації. Сам телеведучий написав, що вип’є банку пива після важкого робочого дня.
