Как стало известно «Ъ», накануне вечером предвыборный штаб журналистки Ксении Собчак, которая объявила о намерении баллотироваться в президенты РФ, в полном составе покинула группа политтехнолога Алексея Ситникова. Об этом «Ъ» сообщил один из сотрудников штаба. «Сегодня утром штаб пустой, Ситников увел с собой почти две трети всех сотрудников штаба. Просто тихо ушли и все»,— сказал собеседник «Ъ».

Алексей Ситников в разговоре с Русской службой Би-би-си назвал уход своей команды нормальным процессом. «Никакого конфликта у нас нет. Более того, все, кто собрались в штабе, мне очень комфортны»,— заявил он. На вопрос о причинах ухода господин Ситников ответил так: «Разные подходы к организации процесса и целям деятельности».

Ксения Собчак представила членов своего избирательного штаба 25 октября. Доктор психологических и экономических наук Алексей Ситников, работавший в 1996 году в штабе Бориса Ельцина, был представлен в качестве руководителя «оффлайн-направления»: в его обязанности вошла организация работы штабов на местах, взаимодействие с волонтерами, организация сбора подписей. Господин Ситников известен также как один из политических консультантов украинского политика Юлии Тимошенко.

Ксения Собчак объявила о своем намерении участвовать в президентских выборах 18 октября. Телеведущая называет себя кандидатом «против всех».
