До відома, фотографування бюлетеня є порушенням частини 1 статті 7 Закону України «Про місцеві вибори». Фотографування, відеофіксація в будь-який спосіб результатів волевиявлення виборців у кабіні для таємного голосування, а також демонстрація виборцем результатів волевиявлення у приміщенні для голосування забороняються і є порушенням таємниці голосування.

Умисне порушення таємниці голосування під час проведення виборів або референдуму, що виявилося у розголошенні змісту волевиявлення громадянина, який взяв участь у виборах або референдумі, карається штрафом від ста до трьохсот неоподатковуваних мінімумів доходів громадян або виправними роботами на строк до двох років, або обмеженням волі на строк до трьох років.
