Ауреліо Кабрера Кампос (Aurelio Cabrera Campos) - восьмий журналіст, убитий в Мексиці в цьому році.
 

Невідомі розстріляли в Мексиці засновника та головного редактора тижневика Grafico de la Sierra Ауреліо Кабреру Кампоса. Про це повідомляє Associated Press. Чоловіка застрелили вночі, коли він їхав по шосе поблизу міста Гуачінанго в центральній частині країни.

Згідно з даними Комітету із захисту журналістів (CPJ), Кабрера - восьмий журналіст, убитий в Мексиці в цьому році.

Журнал  Grafico de la Sierra був заснований близько року тому. Основні теми, які висвітлював тижневик - злочинність та політика. Колеги загиблого журналістарозповіли, що в останніх випусках журналу було опубліковано декілька матеріалів про сплеск насильства в регіоні через протистояння між кількома організованими злочинними групами.

«Влада повинна швидко встановити мотив у вбивстві Ауреліо Кабрера Кампоса і притягнути винних до відповідальності», - цитує The Guardian Роберта Махоуні, заступника виконавчого директора CPJ.

«Мексиканські правоохоронці та політичні лідери повинні показати, що вони здатні і готові розірвати коло безкарності, через яке країна має всі шанси стати лідером за кількістю смертей журналістів в цьому році», - додав він.
