В этот раз разработчики браузера Chrome интегрировали VR-режим на мобильных устройствах. В тестировании могут принять участие пользователи, обладающие последней версией популярного браузера — Chrome Dev, пишет tjournal.ru
 

Появившаяся настройка в новом Chrome делает VR-устройства совместимыми с VR-сайтами в стандарте WebVR. Об этом сообщает Road To VR.

"В Chrome Dev теперь есть настройка VR Shell, которая позволяет включить владельцам Cardboard или готовых к Daydream устройств просматривать веб-страницы в VR-режиме", - Франсуа Бофор, евангелист проекта Google Chromium.

По словам разработчиков, новая функция сделает абсолютно любой сайт подходящим для просмотра в виртуальной реальности — независимо от того, создан он для этого или нет.

Пока неизвестна точная дата выхода технологии в массовое использование. Её стоит ожидать только после выхода Google Daydream на основе VR-режима — то есть осенью 2016 года и позже.
