Счет представительства МИА "Россия сегодня" в Великобритании в банке Barclay's был закрыт из-за санкционных мер британского казначейства.

"Счет закрыт… банк должен прислать соответствующее уведомление", — сообщил РИА Новости представитель банка, отказавшись официально называть причины закрытия счета.

Однако позже источник в банковских кругах пояснил, что казначейство Великобритании внесло в список лиц, подпадающих под финансовые санкции, гендиректора "России сегодня" Дмитрия Киселева, из-за чего МИА могло попасть под финансовые ограничения. В настоящее время счет закрыт, доступ к информации по нему запрещен.

Официального уведомления от банка о закрытии счета и о причинах такого решения в представительство МИА "Россия сегодня" пока не поступало.
