Суд в Австрії зобов'язав компанію Facebook видалити образливі публікації, повідомляє ВВС у вівторок, 9 травня.

Позов був поданий Партією зелених Австрії, після того як лідерка партії постраждала від повідомлень, що розпалюють ненависть.

Апеляційний суд у Відні ухвалив, що Facebook має видалити образливі пости на адресу Еви Главішніг, вказавши, що блокування такого контенту лише на території Австрії недостатньо.

За думкою судді, соцмережі буде нескладно автоматизувати цей процес.

Представники соцмережі поки не коментували рішення суду.

Як пише ВВС, таке рішення можна розглядати як перемогу активістів, які вимагали, щоб соціальні медіа боролися з "тролями" в інтернеті.

Нагадаємо, раніше компанія Facebook у Таїланді заблокувала доступ до відео, на якому король країни Маха Вачіралонгкорн помічений у майці та з тату.
