Двоє морських піхотинців ВМС США - Сет Ортега і Хав'єр Соч з Каліфорнії, які полювали за покемонами в грі Pokemon Go, допомогли затримати підозрюваного у вбивстві чоловіка.

Морпіхи полювали за персонажами в парку Фуллертон. У якийсь момент гра раптово припинилася. В очікуванні продовження гравці звернули увагу на чоловіка, який підійшов до жінки з трьома дітьми, після чого ті втекли. Потім він підійшов до іншої матері з двома дітьми. Коли чоловіки помітили, що перехожий пристає до одного з хлопчиків на дитячому майданчику, вони вирішили діяти.

Військові погналися за чоловіком, до них приєднався ще один чоловік, який став очевидцем сцени з хлопчиком. Вони не давали йому втекти до приїзду співробітників поліції. Внаслідок правоохоронці заарештували чоловіка за підозрою в домаганнях до дітей. 

Як з'ясувалося пізніше, затриманий 39-річний Джейкоб Келлс знаходиться в розшуку за численні злочини, в тому числі за замах на вбивство із застосуванням вогнепальної зброї.
