Один з високопоставлених чиновників мерії Нью-йорку повідомив, що постпред Росії в ООН Віталій Чуркін помер від серцевого нападу.

За його словами, інших підозр щодо причин смерті немає.

Як повідомлялося в п'ятницю, 10 березня, судмедекспертам заборонили розголошувати причину смерті Чуркіна.

24 лютого Держдепартамент США зажадав, щоб причина смерті Чуркіна не була розкрита, оскільки його дипломатичний імунітет діє і після смерті.

Як відомо, Віталій Чуркін помер 20 лютого у Нью-Йорку за день до свого 65-річчя. Американські ЗМІ ймовірною причиною смерті називали серцевий напад.
