Вибори мера в мексиканському місті Юрекуаро (штат Мічоакан) виграв Енріке Ернандес, убитий в травні в ході передвиборного мітингу

Про це повідомляє depo.ua 

За Ернандеса в ході виборів, що пройшли 7 червня, проголосували 36,9 відсотка виборців. Як зазначили місцеві ЗМІ, після вбивства політик, який представляв місцеву самооборону і боровся з організованою злочинністю, став ще більш популярний.

Друге місце зі значним відставанням посів кандидат від правлячого альянсу Інституційно-революційної партії і Зеленої екологічної партії Мексики. Втім, він не зміг скористатися юридичною колізією, оскільки рух "Морена", від якого балотувався Ернандес, вніс у якості його дублера іншого кандидата, який і зайняв крісло мера.

Ернандес був застрелений на передвиборному мітингу 14 травня. Група озброєних людей відкрила вогонь, коли лідер місцевого руху самооборони виступав перед виборцями на центральній площі. Крім нього вогнепальні поранення отримали ще три людини.
