За даними відомства, масштабне будівництво на завершальній стадії.

“Висота статуї становить 36,6 метрів”, — повідомляє ЗМІ.

Крім того, за даними журналістів, серед матеріалів, які використовуються — бетон, сталь та золота фарба.

Приблизна вартість монумента — півмільйона доларів.

Довідка: Мао Цзедун — китайський державний і політичний діяч ХХ століття, голова компартії Китаю з 1943 по 1976 рік. Провів кілька гучних кампаній, найвідомішими з яких стали “Великий стрибок” і “Культурна революція” (1966-1976), що забрали життя багатьох мільйонів людей. Під час правління Мао Цзедуна в Китаї проводилися репресії, які критикувалися не тільки в капіталістичних, а й навіть у соціалістичних країнах. Також у той період існував культ особи Мао Цзедуна.
