Значна частина опублікованої в п'ятницю доповіді спецслужб США про російське втручання у вибори американського президента присвячена телеканалу Russia Today і агентству Sputnik.

Про це повідомляє "Радіо Свобода".

Як наголошується в документі, підконтрольні Кремлю ЗМІ і мережа так званих "тролів" в інтернеті сприяли російській кампанії по впливом на вибори.

Доповідь наводить цитати з блогів і публічних заяв головного редактора Russia Today і Sputnik Маргарити Сімоньян, які свідчать про зв'язки цих ЗМІ з урядом Росії.

Як повідомлялося, в незасекреченій версії доповіді про втручання Росії у вибори США, йдеться про те, що Президент Росії Володимир Путін розпорядився організувати в 2016 році "кампанію впливу", спрямовану на вибори президента США з метою підриву демократичного процесу і дискредитацію кандидата від демократів Хілларі Клінтон.
