На региональных выборах на Сицилии победу одержал правоцентристский кандидат Нелло Музумечи, поддерживаемый бывшим итальянским премьер-министром Сильвио Берлускони, пише Корреспондент

«Сицилия сделала выбор в пользу пути к настоящей, серьезной и конструктивной перемене», — написал 81-летний Берлускони в Twitter.

 

По результатам подсчета 99% бюллетеней Музумечи набрал почти 40% голосов. За левоцентристскую Демократическую партию премьера Паоло Джентилони проголосовали на 20% меньше избирателей — 18,6%, и она потеряла контроль в региональном парламенте.

В голосовании приняли участие менее половины из 4,5 миллиона сицилийцев, обладающих избирательным правом.

Наблюдатели внимательно следили за выборами на Сицилии с учетом предстоящих в начале 2018 года парламентских выборов в Италии.

Замешанный в целый ряд скандалов Берлускони планирует альянс своей правоцентристской партии Forza Italia («Вперед, Италия») с ультраправой «Лигой Севера». Самому экс-премьеру суд запретил баллотироваться по делу о неуплате налогов.

Ранее сообщалось, что Берлускони настроился вернуться в большую политику.
