Лідер сенатської більшості республіканець Мітч Макконел заявив, що не підтримує жодних нових розслідувань можливого впливу Росії на президентські вибори в США.
 

Про це Макконел заявив під час відкриття засідання Сенату, передає Еспресо.ТВ з посиланням на Reuters.

За словами республіканця, нові заходи заважатимуть розслідуванню, що вже відбуваються.

Проте лідер демократичної меншості Чак Шумер знову закликав створити спеціальну раду з цього приводу. Шумер наголосив, що така необхідність посилилася після раптового звільнення директора ФБР Джеймса Комі.
