Корпорація "Радіо Свобода" призупиняє роботу в РФ.
Зазначається, що місцеві податкові органи 4 березня розпочали процедуру банкрутства російської юридичної особи "Радіо Свобода", а поліція посилила тиск на журналістів. Уточнюється, що за останній тиждень дев’ять російськомовних сайтів "Радіо Свобода" були заблоковані після того, як воно відмовилося виконати вимоги російського уряду видалити інформацію про вторгнення Росії в Україну. Вночі з 3 на 4 березня російська влада заблокувала в межах Росії доступ до сайтів та проєктів "Радіо Свобода", включно з цілодобовою російськомовною телемережею "Настоящее время", створеною у співпраці з "Голосом Америки".
Президент корпорації Джеймі Флай зазначив, що це рішення ухвалене "Радіо Свобода" не за власним бажанням, а "було навʼязане нам через напад режиму Путіна на правду".
Дослівно заява "Радіо Свобода": "Ці атаки Кремля на здатність "Радіо Свобода" діяти в Росії є кульмінацією багаторічної кампанії тиску на "Радіо Свобода", яке зберігало фізичну присутність в Росії з 1991 року, коли на запрошення тодішнього президента Бориса Єльцина створило своє московське бюро".
