Президент России Владимир Путин выступил против излишней латинизации русского языка.

Об этом он заявил на совместном заседании Госсовета и Совета по культуре и искусству, передает УНИАН

"Иногда приезжаешь в какой-то город - сразу виден уровень культуры местного чиновничества. Если на каждом углу у нас все названия различных учреждений, реклама - исключительно латинскими буквами изображена!" - констатировал он. "Все хорошо в меру", - напомнил глава государства.

Во время заседания он раскритиковал предложения по этому поводу лидера ЛДПР Владимира Жириновского, который предложил все заимствованные слова заменить теми, которые депутат считает исконно русскими. Так, например, не согласился президент отказаться от "гения" в пользу "таланта". 

"Метро можно поменять, конечно, на "подземку", но французы же не меняют "бистро" на "кафе" просто. Есть какие- то вещи устоявшиеся, - добавил глава государства. - Хотя в целом, я считаю, что Владимир Вольфович (Жириновский) прав, и нам нужно к этому посерьезнее относиться и повнимательнее".
