Президент России Владимир Путин заявил, что отдельные средства массовой информации шантажируют чиновников.

Отвечая на вопрос о борьбе с платой чиновников за хвалебные материалы в прессе, Путин обратил внимание на то, что существуют и случаи, когда сами журналисты требуют от чиновников денег, угрожая в противном случае опубликовать критику в их адрес,пишет ВВС

"Платят за то, чтобы ничего плохого не писали. А те, кто могут написать, занимаются шантажом, в том числе и некоторые представители вашего цеха", - сказал Путин во время пленарного заседания Общественной палаты РФ.

В связи с этим президент призвал внимательно наблюдать за происходящим и в медийном сообществе, и в среде чиновников. "Это непростая работа, но она должна вестись постоянно", - заявил Путин.
