Об этом сообщили в пресс-службе "Газпром-Медиа". Это произошло после встречи главного редактора радиостанции Алексея Венедиктова с главой "Газпром-Медиа" Михаилом Лесиным.

Алексей Венедиктов отметил, что совет директоров "Эха", который должен был состояться в эту пятницу, теперь отменен.

Решение об увольнении Плющева было принято гендиректором "Эхо Москвы" Екатериной Павловой. В то время, как по Уставу, кадровые решения принимает главный редактор. Это произошло после появления в микроблоге журналиста одной из записей, которая вызвала критику, в частности, со стороны руководства "Газпром-Медиа".

Позже Михаил Лесин в интервью "Новой газете", а также на встрече с коллективом "Эха" признавал, что приказ об увольнении Александра Плющева был принят незаконно.
