Президентські вибори в Росії можна вважати стартували, стверджує автор публікації на сайті ВВС, директор Інституту Росії при лондонському Королівському коледжі Сем Грін, передає PRпортал. Даний фат підтверджують масові акції, що відбулися в Москві та інших великих містах країни. За словами експерта, керівнику автократичної держави недостатньо набрати на виборах 50% плюс один голос. Йому мало і перемоги в першому турі голосування. Він завжди бажає перемагати так, щоб ні у кого з підданих навіть думки не виникало, що в його країні існує якась реальна політична альтернатива.
Сем Грін вважає, що нинішні протести в Росії вже не можна назвати на 100% контрольованими Кремлем. Хоч абсолютна більшість громадян РФ все ще залишається в аморфному стані, вже помітний прогрес в середовищі протестуючих активістів. Треба розуміти, що вихід з плакатом на вулицю в Росії - справжній подвиг. Коли відбувалися протести на Болотній, туди йшли з надійними і вірними друзями або соратниками. Тепер же, як зазначив один з активістів, він не бачив у натовпі жодного знайомого обличчя.
Ще один важливий момент: протестуючі наочно показали владі, як вони будуть голосувати і за самого Путіна, і за його «т.в.о.», якщо такий знову з'явиться. Навряд чи цього буде достатньо для зміни режиму, каже Сем Грін. Але його непохитність вже поставлена під сумнів. А це найстрашніше для авторитарних правителів.
