Італійський прем'єр-міністр Маттео Ренці анонсував свою відставку після того, як більшість виборців проголосували проти конституційної реформи.

Про це повідомляє Українська правда з посиланням на The Washington Post.

"Мені не вдалося здобути перемогу. Мій уряд йде сьогодні у відставку ", - заявив Ренці вранці в понеділок в урядовому палаці Кіджі.

Згідно з даними екзит-полів, зміни до конституції підтримали 42-46% виборців, проти висловилися 54-58%.

На референдум було винесено питання про схвалення законопроекту щодо зміни конституції Італії, в результаті якого кардинально змінюється політична система країни: змінюється порядок формування Сенату, скорочується його чисельність, зменшуються функції і повноваження, скорочується фінансування.

В результаті реформи зменшилися б повноваження регіонів країни: питання енергетики, стратегічної інфраструктури та цивільного захисту вирішувалися безпосередньо президентом.

Ренці раніше обіцяв піти у відставку, якщо зміни не будуть підтримані.
