Президент Петро Порошенко агітує за посилення виборчого законодавства з метою недопущення підкупу виборців.

Про це він сказав, виступаючи на об'єднавчому з'їзді партій "Солідарність" і УДАР у п'ятницю в Києві, пише Українська правда

"Місцеві вибори мають пройти так само бездоганно і організовано як були проведені президентські вибори в травні 2014 року і парламентські вибори в жовтні, в повній відповідальності з європейськими стандартами", - сказав Порошенко.

"До порушників виборчого законодавства влада має суровою, які б партійні квитки не стирчали з кишень порушників", зазначив президент.

"Переконаний, що "маршал Гречка" більше ніколи не повинен брати участь в українських виборах", - сказав Порошенко.

Глава держави просить депутатів опрацювати зміни до закону, які унеможливлять підкуп виборців і посилять відповідальність застосування подібних технологій.

Як відомо, "маршалом Гречкою" після виборчої кампанії в Чернігові неофіційно нарекли екс-заступника губернатора Дніпропетровської області Ігоря Коломойського Геннадія Корбана за влаштовану кампанію з роздачею безкоштовної гречки виборцям.

На виборах у липні 2015 року Корбану протистояла людина Порошенка, на той момент керівник Державного управління справами (ДУС) Сергій Березенко.
