Польща та Нідерланди ініціюють створення російськомовного телеканалу для протистояння російській пропаганді.

Про це заявив глава МЗС Польщі Гжегож Схетина в Брюсселі перед початком засідання Ради ЄС, повідомляє Європейська правда

"Разом з главою МЗС Нідерландів Бертом Кундерсом плануємо представити питання російськомовного телеканалу", - сказав він.

"Вже цього вересня плануємо провести міжнародну конференцію донорів у Варшаві. Поки це є польсько-голандська ініціатива, але хотілось би, щоб в майбутньому до неї долучилися й інші країни", - пояснив міністр.

За його словами, метою проекту є те, щоб вільне слово, правдива інформація були доступні в Росії і в російськомовних меншинах країн Східної Європи.

"Йдеться про новий проект, який стане джерелом інформації, позбавленої пропаганди, для вже існуючих медіа на сході Європи", - розповів Схетина.

На думку міністра, такий канал може запрацювати вже наступного року, однак йому передуватимуть донорські конференції у Варшаві та Гаазі, оскільки наразі є проблема з фінансуванням проекту.

"Наразі потрібно переконувати інші держави ЄС в необхідності такого каналу", - зазначив він.
