PepsiCo Inc. уже в понедельник может объявить о подписании партнерского соглашения с Национальной баскетбольной ассоциацией США (НБА), тем самым сменив в качестве эксклюзивного партнера НБА в сфере напитков и продуктов питания конкурента Coca-Cola Inc., сообщает агентство Bloomberg со ссылкой на информированные источники,пишет interfax.ru

 

Таким образом, Pepsi станет официальным спонсором четырех главных спортивных лиг США: кроме НБА, у компании действуют соглашения с хоккейной лигой НХЛ, бейсбольной МЛБ и лигой американского футбола НФЛ.

После подписания соглашения баскетболисты по-прежнему смогут подписывать личные рекламные контракты с любой из компаний, однако аналитики полагают, что все больше игроков будут выбирать Pepsi из-за того, что теперь фирма получит больше прав на размещение видео и изображений. Контракт также не повлияет на то, какие напитки и закуски продаются во время матчей.

Партнерство Coca-Cola и НБА длилось с 1986 года. Компания официально подтвердила, что стороны не станут продлевать соглашение. Отмечается, что фирма Gatorade Company (выпускает одноименный напиток для спортсменов, с 2001 года принадлежит Pepsi) является старейшим спонсором НБА - компания является партнером баскетбольной лиги с 1984 года.
