Цей рік показав, "чого ми можемо досягти, якщо будемо діяти спільно: з'явилася можливість конструктивного діалогу щодо іранської ядерної програми, спільними зусиллями вдалося зупинити Еболу, об'єднавшись, держави-члени ООН одностайно прийняли Порядок денний в галузі сталого розвитку з наміром покінчити з убогістю і подбати про майбутнє планети. Представники організації також додали, що 2015 рік був "роком тріумфів і трагедій".

Зокрема, у ролику згадується про безпрецедентну хвилю міграції через нестабільність та військові дії в країнах Африки та Азії. Так, у 2015 році, як мінімум, 60 мільйонів людей залишили свої будинки. Це найбільше число переміщених осіб з часів Другої Світової війни. Понад 3,5 тисячі мігрантів загинули чи пропали безвісти, намагаючись врятуватися від війни на батьківщині.
