Екс-президент США Барак Обама підтримав Еммануеля Макрона, як кандидата в президенти Франції.

Про це повідомляють РИА Новости із посиланням на відеозвернення Обами.

"Через те, що я знаю, наскільки важливі ці вибори, я хочу, щоб ви знали, що я підтримую Еммануеля Макрона", - заявив Обама. 

За його словами, він захоплювався кампанією, яку вів Макрон. Зокрема, французський політик відстоював ліберальні цінності.

"Французькі вибори дуже важливі для майбутнього Франції і для цінностей, про які ми так піклуємося, оскільки успіх Франції важливий для всього світу", - заявив Обама.
