Німецькі чиновники заявили, що вони розслідують безпрецедентне поширення фейкових новин на тлі повідомлень про прагнення росіян вплинути на вибори у країні, які відбудуться восени.

Про це повідомляє Українська правда з посиланням  The Guardian.

Федеральна служба захисту конституції Німеччини підтвердила, що під час кібератаки в грудні минулого року проти Організації з безпеки і співробітництва в Європі (ОБСЄ) використовували ту же "інфраструктуру", що під час зламу серверів німецького парламенту у 2015 році, який приписують групі російських хакерів APT28.

У федеральній службі зазначили, що в минулому місяці зафіксували "величезне використання фінансових ресурсів" та розгортання широкого спектру інструментів російської пропаганди для проведення кампанії дезінформації, спрямованої на дестабілізацію уряду Німеччини.

Росія заперечує участь в кібервійні проти західних урядів та установ.

Представник уряду Німеччини Штеффен Зайберт заявив, що ФРН буде використовувати всі можливі засоби, щоб розслідувати поширення фейкових новин в інтернеті, заявивши, що кращою відповіддю буде більша прозорість.

"Ми маємо справу з феноменом такого розмаху, якого ми не бачили раніше", - сказав він.

Влада Німеччини заявила, що Берлін розглядає можливість створення окремої групи в урядовій прес-службі, яка б конкретно оцінювала і реагувала на фейкові новини.
