Нардеп заявив, що, мовляв, "ВКонтакті" є набільш популярною соцмережею в Україні, тож його заборона обмежує мобілізаційний ресурс для протестів та поширення різного роду інформації, написав Сергій Лещенко.
Цей пасаж гостро розкритикували блогери та журналісти.
Політолог Олексій Голобуцький саркастично супроводив репост повідомлення Лещенка фразою "Руки геть від російських соцмереж", а блогер Олена Монова зауважила, що насправді Лещенко переживає через долю "ВКонтакті", бо там лежать треки його "улюбленої людини" Анастасії Топольської.
Нагадаємо, що у НАТО заборону російських ресурсів назвали питанням державної безпеки, а не свободи слова. У Росії станом на 16 травня Роскомнагляд закрив понад 5 млн ресурсів.
