Вчора, 24 вересня, у місті Шостка (Сумська область) з’явилися білборди із символікою партії «Блок Петра Порошенка «Солідарність» на фоні фотографії відомого в місті храму та гаслом «Волю Гамаліївському монастирю!», повідомляє ОПОРА

Вперше, партійці підняли цю тему в серпні 2015 року. Вони організували збір підписів серед жителів Шостки та району за те, щоб всі приміщення Свято-Харлампієвського монастиря були передані від виправної колонії до Конотопсько-Глухівської єпархії Української православної Церкви (Московського патріархату).

31 серпня міська партійна організація організувала довіз всіх бажаючих потрапити до цього монастиря, де відбулося богослужіння на честь вшанування мироточивої Ікони Божої Матері «Всецариця» за участі єпископа Конотопського та Глухівського Романа.

Олена Чанцева-Коваленко, яка є головою Шосткинської міської організації партій «Блок Петра Порошенка «Солідарність», неодноразово заявляла, що проект  по розмежуванню монастиря та виправної колонії є для них пріоритетним і вона сподівається, що найближчим часом це питання буде вирішене.

В коментарі  Олена Чанцева-Коваленко сказала, що вони навмисне розпочали кампанію по поверненню монастиря напередодні місцевих виборів, щоб політики, від яких залежить це рішення, краще йшли на контакт.

- Я впевнена, що монастир повернуть громаді. Можливо, не напередодні виборів, але в найближчі роки точно, - заявила пані Олена і додала, що вони отримали позитивного листа від Президента України Петра Порошенка щодо цього питання.

Гамаліївський Харлампіївський монастир – пам’ятка архітектури національного значення, тут похований гетьман Скоропадський з родиною, але монастир наразі є частиною виправної колонії і його будівлі використовуються для господарських потреб ув’язнених.
