Молдова нуждается в поддержке западных партнеров, чтобы противостоять российской пропаганде, в частности, накануне президентских выборов. Об этом говорится в статье премьер-министра Молдовы Павла Филипа для вашингтонского издания The Hill.

"Молдова движется в сторону первых за 16 лет прямых президентских выборов, которые состоятся 30 октября. Как и в большинстве предыдущих выборов, проевропейские и пророссийские партии будут спорить между собой. Нам нужны наши друзья, чтобы противостоять пропаганде, которая стремится дестабилизировать Молдову, дискредитировать правительство и власть на выборах в пользу Москвы", - написал Филип.

Премьер подчеркнул, что Молдова твердо выбрала путь евроинтеграции и нынешнее правительство намерено продолжать его.

"Москва не очень довольна, и поэтому мы нуждаемся в помощи Вашингтона и других западных столиц, чтобы укрепить наш переход от десятилетий коммунизма к рыночной демократии", - отметил он.

Филип напомнил, что в начале лета Россия провела военные учения в Приднестровье, всего за 30 км от Кишинева.

"Мягкая сила России – использование пропагандистской машины, чтобы затопить наши СМИ антизападными сообщениями – опасная и стремится очернить наше проевропейское правительство и будущих политических союзников на выборах", - отметил он.
