На телеканалах Виктора Медведчука который день подряд идет раскрутка его «подвига» – освобождение из плена пророссийских боевиков 4 украинцев – одного гражданского и трех военных. Лояльные журналисты, прикормленные политические эксперты одаривают кума Путина комплиментами и задают заранее согласованные вопросы, в кадре показывается, как плачут родственники, встречая освобожденных в аэропорту.
Самое курьезное из этого всего это то, что на совместной с Медведчуком пресс-конференции в Донецке главари «ДНР» и «ЛНР» Пушилин и Пасечник хвалят не только лично Медведчука, но и партию «Оппозиционная платформа – За жизнь!», тонко намекая украинцам за кого нужно голосовать и, кто может принести капитуляцию Украине.
Одним словом идиллия, но вот Медведчку один из журналистов задал прямой вопрос о том, что вся эта ситуация с освобождением военнопленных больше похожа на спланированную пиар-акцию Медведчука и его партии перед выборами. Это вывело из себя Медведчука, он повысил тон и резко ответил, что он таким пиаром занимается с 2014-го года, а не только перед выборами. Также Медведчук бросил упрек в адрес президента Порошенко и Зеленского, которые, подчеркнул политик, только занимались и занимаются словоблудием, но никак не способствуют установлению мира в Украине и возвращению украинцев домой.
