Президент Франції Еммануель Макрон пригрозив посилити антиросійські санкції у разі ескалації конфлікту на Донбасі.

Про це він сказав на прес-конференції за підсумками переговорів з Путіним у Версалі, передає ТСН

"Щодо української кризи, я підтверджую, що у разі ескалації ми можемо посилити санкції проти Росії. Але я хочу, щоб відбувалась деекскалація і нам не довелось цього робити", — сказав він.

Своєю чергою Путін заявив, що санкції "не допоможуть у врегулюванні кризи в Україні".

"Як санкції можуть допомогти у врегулюванні кризи в Україні? Ніяк не допоможуть. Тому я закликаю боротись із будь-якими обмеженнями у світовій економіці", — сказав він.

Глава Франції наголосив на необхідності якнайшвидшого проведення переговорів в "нормандському форматі", передають РИА Новости.

"Ми говорили про різні деталі і про втілення в життя мінського процесу. Наше бажання полягає в тому, і я сподіваюся, що підтвердить президент Путін те, що я скажу, ми хотіли б, щоб в найближчим часом були проведені переговори в нормандському форматі і щоб ми обговорили всі теми. І в цьому нормандському форматі ми хотіли б заслухати доповідь ОБСЄ про структуруючі елементи подій", - сказав Макрон.
