Засновник французької ультраправої партії "Національний фронт" Жан-Марі Ле Пен постане перед кримінальним судом за "провокацію до міжрасової ворожнечі".

Судитимуть Ле Пена за висловлювання в поширеному в червні 2014 року відео-інтерв'ю, де він допустив на адресу актора Патріка Брюеля, єврея за національністю, двозначну фразу. У відповідь на питання журналістів стосовно свого ставлення до Патріка  Брюеля, Жан-Марі Ле Пен сказав, що це "хлібець, до якого ми ще дістанемось".

В своєму коментарі Ле Пен використав французьке слово "fournée", котре позначає сирий хліб, підготовлений до випікання, що наштовхнуло громадськість проінтерпретувати дане зауваження як натяк на крематорії нацистських концтаборів.

Сам Ле Пен пізніше назвав людей, котрі саме так протрактували ситуацію, імбецилами.

На минулому тижні Європарламент задовольнив запит правоохоронних органів Франції, позбавивши Ле Пена депутатської недоторканності за "підбурювання до дискримінації, ненависті або насильства на расовому ґрунті".
