Екс-радник президента США Дональда Трампа Роджер Стоун визнав, що у 2016 році зустрічався з росіянином, який запропонував купити компромат на Гілларі Клінтон за $ 2 млн. Посадовець відхилив пропозицію.

Про це пише ТСН з посиланням на  The Washington Post.

"Стоун розповів, що зустрічався з росіянином, який стверджував, що має компромат, котрий допоможе Трампу перемогти на президентських виборах. Чоловік, який назвався Генрі Грінбергом, заявив, що має компромат на Клінтон і просив за них 2 мільйони доларів", - йдеться у повідомленні.

"Ви не розумієте Дональда Трампа - він ні за що не платить", - нібито відповів на пропозицію Стоун.

Співробітники штабу Трампа переконані, що за пропозицією стояли спецслужби США, які хотіли нашкодити кандидату від республіканців.

На зустрічі зі Стоуном Грінберг представився інформатором ФБР. У судових документах за 2015 рік він фігурує під іменем Генрі Окнянський, під яким він нібито працював на ФБР 17 років. Грінберг заявив, що припинив роботу інформатором після 2013 року. Американська спецслужба відмовилась коментувати цю інформацію.

Стоун обговорював зустріч з представником штабу Трампа Майклом Капуто і назвав ймовірну угоду "марною тратою часу".

Капуто і Стоун у ході розслідування російського втручання у вибори в США, яке проводив Конгрес, приховали факт цієї зустрічі.
