Кандидат у президенти Франції Франсуа Фійон заявив, що Росія являє собою "небезпеку", повідомляє Новое время з посиланням на Bloomberg.

За словами Фійона, Росія є країною з політичним режимом, який протилежний за своєю сутністю західній демократії:

"Це небезпечна країна, і ми повинні ретельно розглянути, яку стратегію використовувати відносно РФ", - заявив він.

На думку Bloomberg, Фійон відкоригував своє ставлення до РФ, яку раніше називав "великою країною", яка не становить небезпеки для Заходу.

22 березня французьке видання Le Canard enchaîné опублікувало розслідування, згідно з яким, Фійон отримав 50 тисяч доларів за те, що представив ліванського бізнесмена президенту РФ Путіну на полях Петербурзького міжнародного економічного форуму.
