Двоє карикатуристів з Ізраїля поскаржились на цензуру з боку організаторів виставки, присвяченої нападу на сатиричний журнал Charlie Hebdo. Про це повідомляє  The Times of Israel.

Відзначається, що Владік Сандлер і Рой Фрідлер надали карикатури із зображенням пророка Мухаммада для виставки Apres Charlie ("Після "Шарлі"), організованої в пам'ять про жертв теракту в редакції Charlie Hebdo у стінах Французького інституту в Тель-Авіві.

Однак, за словами художників, вони виявили, що їх роботи були піддані цензурі. Зокрема, малюнок Сандлера, на якому оголений Мухаммед позує п'яти загиблим французьким карикатуристам, був прибраний з виставки. На карикатурі Фіндлера зображення пророка, що зустрічає душі художників при вході в рай, організатори заклеїли стікером.

Як розповів Сандлер, своїм малюнком він хотів привернути увагу до того факту, що з моменту теракту зображення Мухаммеда майже перестало з'являтися в Charlie Hebdo. Видалення роботи з виставки художник пояснив спецзапросом з французького посольства в Ізраїлі.

У свою чергу Французький інститут повідомив, що карикатура Сандлера не виставлялася через брак місця. Коментарів з приводу стікера на малюнку Фіндлера організатори виставки не дали.

Нагадаємо, 7 січня 2015 року троє озброєних людей напали на редакцію сатиричного журналу, відомого тим, що в ньому були опубліковані карикатури із зображенням пророка Мухаммеда. Тоді від рук ісламістів загинули 12 людей, 10 отримали поранення.
