Десятки тисяч людей у неділю, 18 грудня, вийшли на вулиці Мадрида на знак протесту проти політики іспанського уряду щодо трудового законодавства

Дві найбільші профспілки Іспанії UGT і ССОО організували протестний марш під гаслом "У першу чергу люди та їхні права". Демонстрація стала продовженням 60 менш численних протестів, які відбувалися по всій країні останніми днями.

"Ми не дозволимо уряду залишити скорочення останніх років", - сказав лідер UGT Хосе Марія Альварес. Марш був підтриманий лідерами іспанських соціалістів та крайніх лівих сил.

Скорочення державних витрат та реформа трудового законодавства, які були проведені консервативним урядом Іспанії в рамках боротьби з економічною кризою за останні п'ять років, завдали удару по працівниках та їхній купівельній спроможності, стверджують у профспілках. Учасники мітингу вимагають від уряду консервативного прем'єр-міністра Маріано Рахоя, серед іншого, підвищення соціальних виплат, зарплат та пенсій, більш справедливої податкової політики та припинення заходів з лібералізації ринку праці.
