Україна планує приєднатися до боротьби міжнародної коаліції на чолі зі США проти "Ісламської держави" в Сирії, а це може призвести до бойових зіткнень із російським контингентом у цій країні.

Про це повідомляє газета The Independent з посиланням на власні джерела, передає Еспресо.TV.

За інформацією видання, документ з такою пропозицією склали у Міністерстві оборони України. Його обговорюватимуть наступного тижня під час візиту до Києва міністра оборони США Ештона Картера.

Британська газета зазначає, що план підписаний президентом України Петром Порошенком.

"Ми підготували цілу низку варіантів нашої підтримки боротьби проти "ІД" в Сирії, у тому числі - можливість відправки військ. Це може призвести до потенційних зіткнень з росіянами", - заявило одне з джерел видання.

В українській армії налічується кілька підрозділів спецназу і розвідки загальною чисельністю 7 тисяч військовослужбовців, а також повітряно-десантні війська, що мають високу боєздатність.

"З точки зору знання російської мови і російської тактики українцям немає рівних", - додає видання.
