Владелец компании Playboy Enterprises Хью Хефнер, которому принадлежит журнал Playboy, рассматривает возможность ее продажи.

Ранее стало известно, что за 200 млн долларов был выставлен на продажу дом Хефнера, ставший во многом символом издания, пишет ВВС

По данным Wall Street Journal, компания может быть оценена примерно в 500 млн долларов. CNBC сообщает, что Playboy Enterprises могут продать по частям.

Основанный в 1953 году журнал спустя 20 лет продавался тиражом 5,6 млн экземпляров, а сейчас тираж издания составляет лишь 800 тысяч.

В прошлом году было принято решение отказаться от публикации фотографий обнаженных женщин. Playboy Enterprises решила, что интернет сделал наготу неинтересной, и порнографические журналы больше не могут быть коммерчески рентабельными.
