Российский оппозиционер, бывший владелец ЮКОСа и учредитель общественного движения "Открытая Россия" Михаил Ходорковский заявил, что считает Крым частью Украины.

Такое высказывание он сделал в понедельник вечером во время выступления в Стенфордском университете (США), передает Укринформ.

"Я специально накануне нашей встречи разместил у себя в Твиттере запись о выступлении Путина в 2008 году, где он сказал, что Крым, без всякого сомнения - украинский. Что я могу сказать, если президент так говорит?" - отметил он.

Кроме того, Ходорковский признал, что при нынешнем режиме в России надежного мира в Украине не будет, но при этом он все же верит в возможность украинцев поставить страну на ноги вопреки давлению со стороны Кремля. "То, что этому (путинскому. - Ред.) режиму нельзя верить - мы все видим. Но сможет ли Украина стать успешной, пока у власти в России Путин? Мой ответ - да", - подчеркнул он.

Ходорковский подчеркнул, что очень болеет, чтобы Украина была успешной. "Не только потому что там живут друзья, но и потому, что для России этот пример был бы очень значимым. Если Украина будет успешной страной, демократия в Россию придет быстрее и с меньшей кровью", - подытожил российский оппозиционер.
